I am playing with two different bands these days, both really cool in very different ways. I am playing lead guitar with Hank Bird and Borderline; check out the band's website at www.theborderlineband.com. And I am playing bass guitar with the band 'Chappelle'; check out the website at www.stevenchappelle.com.

I am working with a new organization called countrymusicgeorgia.org, the purpose of which is to get exposure and experience for some really stellar, young country music talent here in Georgia.

I am producing two records right now up in Nashville at Clubhouse Recordings owned by Paul and Jamie Martin. Paul is a longtime member of Exile, The Oak Ridge Boys, and the Grand Ole Opry community of fantastic musicians. The two artists that I am producing are Dave Cox from Cary, North Carolina and Jeff Thomas from Dawsonville, Georgia.

TORNADO BENEFIT FOR ENTERPRISE, ALA. feat. Fayssoux McLean & Brandon Turner, Brad Davis & Dan Miller, Will McFarlane, and Eddie Keith

This gathering at the Handlebar was not your run-of-the mill benefit show. The cast of players assembled for this special cause are steeped in talent and tradition, and all came together from different places to benefit a worthy cause.

Eddie and Will opened the show with a set of rousing, high energy roots music, from Eddie’s new record. Brad and Doug put on a show of amazing flat-picking. Will came on and delivered soulful vocals and deep blues guitar. And then came Fayssoux and Brad…music you just have not witnessed in years, beautiful, tight vocal harmonies, and Brads smoking hot guitar work. The show culminated with all the players assembled on the stage with Will and Fayssoux leading an emotional and electrifying rendition of Amazing Grace.

Brad Davis has spent years on the road with the likes of Marty Stuart, Earl Scruggs and Billy Bob Thornton. Will McFarlane spent six years with Bonnie Raitt. Eddie Keith has shared the stage with Shawn Mullins and Col. Bruce Hampton. Spartanburg’s own Fayssoux McLean has provided back up vocals to many of the works of Emmylou Harris. You get the point: this show was filled with acoustic guitar slinging goodness and amazing vocals. When you have the opportunity to see any of these folks, it will be well worth your time, each are great, together in any combination they are amazing.

Proceeds will benefit the Enterprise, Alabama high school that was destroyed in the March 1 tornado that killed eight students and damaged another 731 structures in its 10-mile swath.
